CHAMP expands Weight & Balance to support Boeing 777-300ERSF freighters

CHAMP Cargosystems has updated its Cargospot Weight & Balance solution to support a broader range of freighter aircraft, including the converted Boeing 777-300ERSF “Big Twin.”
CHAMP said it is the first provider worldwide to fully support the freighter modification in live operations—an enhancement aimed at helping airlines manage increasingly complex fleets, particularly passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions. The company said the update streamlines load planning, AI-powered autoload optimization, load sheet generation and operational workflows, addressing weight and balance complexities driven by structural modifications, airline-specific customizations and safety constraints.
The solution automatically calculates aircraft-specific weight distribution and optimizes center of gravity for each flight, reducing manual entry bottlenecks for loadmasters, speeding turnarounds and minimizing disruption risk.
CHAMP added the 777-300ERSF is well-suited for low-density cargo operations thanks to its volumetric capacity, enabling airlines to maximize revenue on lightweight, high-volume shipments while maintaining long-range efficiency. Product manager Khaled Chamsuddine said the AI-driven solution standardizes load planning while supporting safety, compliance and peak operational performance.
