China Cargo Airlines launches new Paris–Shanghai freight service

China Cargo Airlines inaugurates a direct Paris–Shanghai freight flight, complemented by feeder road connections across Western Europe. This corridor meets an increased demand from European component and electronics industries toward Asia, and reverses the “classic” Asia-Europe export flow. By bringing the inventory of components in Europe closer to Asia, shippers gain in responsiveness and predictability. The launch is part of a strategic approach: bringing air capabilities closer to industrial hubs rather than relying solely on traditional routes via American hubs. For logisticians, it is an opportunity to further integrate sea-air and road legacies into a global e-commerce chain.
