SpeedX names Tim Lock as chief product officer to strengthen last-mile growth strategy

Last-mile delivery specialist SpeedX has appointed Tim Lock as chief product officer as the company continues to build out its executive leadership team and scale its e-commerce logistics platform.

Lock joins the business from AP Moller-Maersk, where he served as head of last-mile product and led major product transformation initiatives. Before that, he was part of DHL eCommerce’s country leadership team in Hong Kong, where he held the role of branch general manager.

At SpeedX, he will be responsible for strengthening the company’s product vision and execution, with a particular focus on accelerating innovation, platform development and customer impact across its logistics network.

The company said Lock brings extensive hands-on experience in last-mile and e-commerce logistics, including deep expertise in building, standardising and scaling product solutions across large, high-volume networks. His leadership background spans Asia, Europe and the United States.

SpeedX has grown rapidly and now handles more than one million e-commerce shipments per day across a network covering over 12,000 ZIP codes in the United States.

The appointment is part of a broader expansion of the company’s senior leadership structure. In February, SpeedX and its sister company Accelerated Global Solutions Logistics appointed Kristen Nguyen as vice president of sales.

Last year, the company also opened a new e-commerce and freight superhub near Chicago O’Hare International Airport, further strengthening its infrastructure footprint in the US market.
