Swissport continues its expansion in specialized logistics with the opening of a new center dedicated to perishable goods at London-Heathrow Airport. Covering an area of nearly 2,700 m², this facility is designed to handle up to 30,000 tons of temperature-sensitive goods per year.

The site integrates state-of-the-art infrastructure for the management of fresh food products, flowers, pharmaceuticals, and goods under strict thermal control. The objective is clear: to provide optimal continuity of the cold chain, from the arrival of the cargo to its redistribution to British and European markets.

This initiative comes in a context of strong growth in the flow of perishable goods transported by air, driven notably by the globalization of food chains, the demand for fresh products year-round, and the rise of sensitive pharmaceutical products.
