Franco-Chinese maritime cooperation reaches a milestone with the announcement of a “green” maritime corridor linking Haropa Port to the Ningbo Zhoushan port ecosystem, one of the largest global hubs. The initiative brings together several technical and operational stakeholders, including Bureau Veritas, as well as industrial partners involved in port and maritime operations.

The objective is to transform a major commercial route into a decarbonization laboratory: development of shore power, gradual electrification of terminals and equipment, and structuring supply chains for alternative fuels (LNG/bio-LNG, “green” ammonia, “green” hydrogen). This approach is part of the international trajectory toward carbon neutrality.

For Haropa, the corridor is also a strategic lever: China represents a key part of its container traffic, and the project aims to position the Seine axis as a reference hub for the operation and bunkering of very low-emission ships.
